Independent Co-Productions

We develop and produce independent factual and narrative features in collaboration with film teams from around the world. Our projects have premiered at major international festivals including Sundance, Hot Docs, CPH:DOX, and BFI London Film Festival, reflecting our commitment to ambitious, character-driven storytelling from Africa.

A core strength of our work lies in casting and story development. We have a proven track record of identifying compelling characters, building trust with communities, and supporting filmmakers to shape ethical, emotionally resonant narratives. Our casting approach prioritizes access, authenticity, and collaboration, allowing stories to unfold with depth while remaining grounded in local realities.

We maintain an extensive network of African filmmakers, DOPs, writers, directors, producers, editors, and field producers across East Africa and the continent, many of whom we have collaborated with on award-winning independent projects. This enables us to assemble creative teams that combine strong local insight with international production standards.

Our team has been trained through leading independent filmmaking workshops and labs, including IDFA in the Netherlands, Sheffield DocFest Festival in the UK and DocuBox in Kenya. Drawing on this experience, our team is able to provide creative producing services, casting and crewing strategy, project packaging, and international partnership guidance, helping African stories reach global platforms with integrity, clarity, and cinematic ambition.
