Toni is known for identifying and developing compelling African characters and stories, and for working closely with emerging directors and international directors working on the continent. Her approach is informed by producing award-winning independent documentaries, which have screened at Sundance. Hot Docs, CPH Dox, as well as her experience directing TV documentaries for international broadcasters including BBC and CCTV Africa. She brings a balance of narrative clarity, ethical storytelling, and cinematic ambition to each project.

 

She has received global recognition as a creative producer, including the Sundance Amazon MGM Nonfiction Producer Prize, and advises on story development, editorial structure, and impact strategy.

 

Toni regularly contributes to industry conversations on creative producing and inclusive storytelling, with speaking engagements at major platforms including Durban FilmMart, NEWF, Sheffield Doc/Fest, and the Sundance Film Festival. She brings a strong international network and a practical, story-first approach to every collaboration.
